Footswitches
Footswitches made by AEI meet the highest requirements towards safety, ergonomics, and design.
The footswitches have a very low profile, are mechanically robust and watertight.
They are available with one or two pedals.
The footswitches were originally developed for use in medical environments like hospitals and physician's offices. However, due to the rugged and timeless design, they are used in other professional environments as well.
Each pedal actuates one or two SPDT microswitches (options available), the switching points can be independently set according to your specifications.
This way, self-supervising or two-step controls can be implemented.
The cable, connectors and microswitches are fully configurable, and all electrical components of the stock version are UL approved.
The slim, heavy-duty enclosure is integrally milled from aluminium and is available hard-anodized or plastic-coated – in the color your application requires. The thin but robust pedals are made of stainless steel, as is the lid. The water and dust proof switches are equipped with EPDM gaskets to achieve a protection rating of IP68.
The pedals' functions can be designated with stickers or engravings on the casing or the pedals.
Because of the smooth surface, cleaning and sanitation can be achieved easily and thoroughly. The footswitches resist all common cleaning- and disinfection agents.
